Tejas (Light Combat Aircraft) has today crossed 100 hours of flight testing with three aircraft Technology Demonstrator –1 (TD-1), (TD-2) and Proto Vehicle-1 (PV-1).

This was achieved today during the 16th flight test of PV1, which went supersonic piloted by Sqn Ldr Suneet Krishna. Today's flight test sortie included various in-flight manoeuvres, level acceleration, handling quality checks, roller coaster, steady heading side slip, wind up turns at high 'g'and high angles of attack and lasted for over forty-two minutes.

Wg Cdr (retd) PK Raveendran, Group Director (Flight Test) was directing the flight from the Telemetry at National Flight Test Centre, ADA. The aircraft handling qualities and all the systems performance were satisfactory.

As on today Tejas TD1, TD2 and PV1 have completed 167 flights with all the three aircraft crossing the supersonic speed on more than twenty occasions.
