Light Combat Aircraft (Tejas), Technology Demonstrator-1, today achieved yet another milestone during its 73rd
flight test by crossing the sped at 1.4 Mach and 950kmph (CAS) approx at 11KM altitude. Today's flight was piloted by Wg Cdr Vikram Singh. Gp Capt Rakesh Badauria was directing the flight from the Telemetry at National Flight Test Centre, ADA. The aircraft handling qualities and the systems performance were satisfactory.
As on today Tejas TD1, TD2 and PV1 have completed 158 flights with all the three aircraft crossing the sound barrier.
