Aircraft (LCA) project may not benefit now from the lifiting of the US sanctions on India,Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) Director Kota Harinarayana said on Tuesday. Most of the work is already over and withdrawal of sanctions will not especially benefit the project now. The only apparent benefit would be that "our systems, software and other equipment which is lying unused in the US would be brought back to India at the earliest." The LCA
already had 70% of Indigenous element and this would only be increased with more efforts over time despite lifting of the sanctions by the US, he said. The sanctions only delayed the project but didn't pose any further serious effects to the LCA project, he added. |
Three ADA Scientists Awarded by IETE | A team of Aeronautical Development Agency(ADA) Scientists has bagged IETE Flt, Lt. Tanmaya Singh Dandass Memorial Award, instituted by the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, according to a press release issued by the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers.
Mr. R. Srinivasa Rao, Mr. M.P.Reddy and Mr. Ajai Vohra of ADA were selected for their contribution in avionics. The scientists are working on the LCA's avionics system. | | | |
