The prototype of the indigenously manufactured Light Combat
Aircraft LCA kisses the skies moments after its succesful take-off from the HAL air strip in Bangalore on 4-JAN-2001.
It took of at 10:18 AM on 4-JAN-2001.
Wg. Cdr. R. Kothiyal of the NFTC, ADA has piloted the maiden flight which lasted about 20 minutes.
Maiden Flight of LCA attained the Maximum
altitude of 3.1 KM. Landing gear kept extended throughout the flight.
LCA KH2001 has been tested successfully 12 times so far.
First flight is roaring over the sky on 4-JAN-2001.
